2014 will mark the 34th Anniversary of the Muddy Frogwater Country Classic Festival and Corn Roast in Milton-Freewater, Oregon! The Festival, scheduled for August 15-17 in 2014, takes place at Yantis Park and has all the charm and ambiance of a good old-fashioned country get together. People from all over the Pacific Northwest come together to enjoy the pleasant, rural setting Milton-Freewater has to offer.
The whole family is taken into consideration when planning for the festival: from the Kid Zone to the Art Show and everything in between, there are fun activities, events, contests and games for everyone that take place everyday, all day during the festival. Be sure to check out the schedule of events for a complete listing of what's happening!
This is a great, inexpensive way to get out and enjoy the summer weather. Admission to the festival is free! (Please note that some charges may apply for meal tickets, vendor games or contest entries. Meal tickets may be purchased on site.)

Two local bands will rock the bandshell at Yantis Park during the Muddy Frogwater festival. Bring your own chair or claim a bale of straw and sit back to enjoy two of the valley's favorite local bands on Friday night and Saturday night. Each band has their own unique sound, you won't want to miss either band for two great nights of music! FREE ADMISSION! The "Talent of the Valley" competition rounds out the week-end with the best of the best competing daily for a grand prize of $500, with 2nd place taking home $250 and 3rd $125. Talent Show finals take place Sunday afternoon.
Saturday Parade - TBD for 2014
The Muddy Frogwater parade begins on Saturday morning at Valley Christian Center on North Main Street and will continue on Main Street to end at Yantis Park on DeHaven Street.
This fun parade features entries by you! After all, the one thing that makes our festival successful is the people and businesses that live and work in our community! So, we invite you to join in the festival spirit and advertise your business, organization or club. Decorate a vehicle, trailer, animal or even your body and make a lasting impression on your friends and neighbors! (Parade applications are available online.)
Good Food, Good Crafts
As visitors wander through the park, the tantalizing aroma will take you to the food court. Vendors offer an irresistible and varied selection of items. There is no shortage of food: organized breakfasts and dinners are offered on Friday and Saturday by local service clubs/organizations with the Chamber sponsored Corn Roast/Watermelon Feed the featured hightlight on Sunday.
Sunday Corn Roast and Watermelon Feed
On Sunday morning, the local ministerial society brings fellowship and Sunday worship services to the park which is followed by the annual Corn Roast/Watermelon Feed sponsored by the Chamber of Commerce. Corn is picked fresh Sunday morning then roasted in the husk on a huge pit. You can't beat the flavor!
